ROLE PURPOSE:Plant performance improvement, De bottle necking & to perform all design calculations related to re design the equipments sizing to over come the bottle necks , Fix Technical Specification for New Equipments, Standardize spare parts, Develop Condition monitoring activities to achieve performance targets for all Plant equipments, Technical analysis of Proposals, , Analyse Chronic problems, Equipment failures & provide solutions, Projects planning, Co ordination & execution. Post Project Evaluation. Budget preparation. Improve Preventive Maintenance programs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
De bottle necking & to perform design calculations to over come the bottlenecks.
Identification of production potentials, initiating projects to enhance equipment productivity, projects planning and execution.
Look for improvements, simplification & Standardization of Maintenance procedures.
Analysis of Chronic problems related to plant equipments, to suggest solutions to over come the problems & to implement.
Manage Minor & Medium size projects including lay out design, equipment selection & sizing required for New Project.
Look for Standardization possibilities for Spares in co ordination with Maintenance department..
Budget preparation for capital expenditure projects with justification on investment and budget presentation to the Engineering Chief Engineer.
Plan the various activities for the implementation of the Project including Preparatory jobs & Shut down jobs.
To guide & Train Maintenance Staff for New installed equipments Maintenance.
Look for possibilities to reduce the inventory.
Plan the Major overhauls of equipments in Coordination with Maintenance, based on the previous machine history & break downs.
To Analyze spare parts that are failing frequently & to take required countermeasures while ordering next time like revise technical specification, modify design, insist for better quality
To monitor & get feed back on equipment failures & to take preventive actions avoid re occurrence of such failures .
To avoid Purchase Specification mismatch.
Up date of the Technical documents, Information, drawings.
Internal & External correspondence.
Review, approve & Monitor the Preventive Maintenance programs to ensure efficient operation of the plant & develop conditioning monitoring activities.
Any other jobs assigned by Engineering Chief Engineer based on the immediate need of the plant.
JOB CONTEXT:
To perform all design calculations related to re design the equipments sizing to over come the bottle necks, to provide Technical support to Maintenance people, able to carry out all required Engineering for New Project, Enhance condition monitoring activities, Coordination with all other departments. Inventory control & reduction by Standardizing the spares.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reporting Engineering Chief Engineer and review all the Maintenance & Project activities, Co operation & Communication with all people, establish good harmonic relation ship with all concerned.
FRAME WORKS, BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
Responsible for improving the Plant performance by de bottlenecking, engineering activities of the Project, Technical support to Maintenance department.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with + 5 years (min) experience in Design,
Maintenance & Project activities of Cement Industry.
Knowledge & Skills required:
… Well conversant with Design aspects to over come bottlenecks, Preventive Maintenance & Condition monitoring Techniques.
----Through knowledge of various Equipments, basic design& operating principles.
… Must have ability to design & fix equipment sizing for given project.
….Ability to analyze the Construction Drawings, lay out drawings & to optimize where ever applicable.
… Must be able to extract the required help & co operation from Plant People for the smooth completion of the project.
….Should be well aware with latest Technical developments, references & case studies.
Independent analysis of Cement Manufacturing Problems.
English is essential 4a Minimum
