Job Description:Welding engineer, responsible for pipeline projects. This will involve interpretation specifications, setting up and qualifying welding procedures and welder qualifications, liaising with the NDT section to set up NDT procedures, and transferring this from laboratory to laybarge and providing technical support thereafter.
Requirements: 3 - 15 years experience as a welding engineer in pipelines or oil and gas construction environment having had major project responsibility.
2.This applicant should either currently have or have aspirations to qualify as a European Welding Engineer and be willing to work flexibly in terms of assignments to the welding laboratory and installation vessels.
3.International travel and offshore work are an inherent part of this job. Ability to work with a team made up of different nationalities is essential.
Qualifications: A graduate in Materials Science, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
