Company: Rapidly growing QATAR based company in the industrial sector, with 6 operating sites around the Doha area. Now with over 750 employees
Requirements:
- B.Sc Civil Engineering or B.Sc Materials Science
- A minimum of 5 years practical experience in the testing of, and the application of primary materials for the construction industry
- In depth knowledge of statistical and specification procedures
- Ability to work independently, with an ability to prioritise planned work
- Analytical, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills
- Proven skills in the area of analysis and interpretation and report generation of test results
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic would be an advantage).
Principal Duties:
- Ensure materials purchased and produced comply with national and quality standards and regulations
- Define or develop processes required to ensure that materials produced meet national standards where required
- Interact with the national standards authority as and when required to gain approvals for materials produced or purchased
- Define or develop processes to reduce the impact of waste streams of production processes
- Plan and implement laboratory operations and tests to produce material specifications and data sheets for materials to be used in construction
- Undertake field tests to determine the suitability of materials to be purchased or processed
- Develop detailed reports and specifications based on tests carried out in the field and in the laboratory
- Develop new materials to be used in the construction industry using current raw materials available
- Develop and participate in Quality Assurance Reviews
