Responsibilities
- Teach a maximum of 30 contact hours per week. The daily NIT core schedule hours are: 7am – 6pm (Saturday to Wednesday). As needed, carry out additional teaching or other assignments on Thursdays.
- To assist with the administration of written and oral tests.
- To mark and record students’ work where and when necessary.
- To attend staff meetings when held. To participate in teacher training and development workshops in addition to syllabus and courses development.
- To keep a daily record of attendance.
- To prepare materials for lessons in an organized and timely fashion.
- To carry out any other professional duties assigned by the NIT General Manager and immediate supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
i.Education, Certifications and Work Related Experience
- (one of the following):
1. A first degree with an MA in TEFL/L or Applied Linguistics or a one- year, full-time postgraduate Diploma in TEFL/TESL.
2. A first degree with basic postgraduate qualifications in TESOL (e.g. RSA/S DELTA or Dip TEFLA).
3. A bachelor degree + CELTA.
4. A first degree + TEFL Certificate.
5. An Associate Degree + TEFL Certificate.
- A minimum of One year relevant experience.
