Job Location: Shawqah Quarry
Company: Tarmac Middle East (TME) is one of the largest and leading suppliers of aggregates and asphalt to the Middle East construction industry, in addition to asphalt laying contracting services.
Requirements:
- The Quarry Manager is a challenging role where you will manage a very big Gabbro Hard Rock Unit located within the geographical boundary of Ras Al Khaimah and supplying into the United Arab Emirates and the export market.
- The role involves full profit and loss responsibility for the business, including all SHE,Technical, Financial, Human Resources and operational issues.
- The incumbent is responsible for a team of 100 employees and to achieve a budgeted profit whilst complying with all applicable UAE legislation and Company Safety Policies relating to the operation.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager - UAE, the successful applicant should have a high degree of knowledge of all aspects of quarrying and be able to work autonomously.
- You must be able to demonstrate a good track record of managing Safety, Health and Environment. Proven track record in having held similar roles, ability to communicate at all levels and to motivate multicultural teams of employees is essential.
- The successful candidate must have a relevant Quarry Management qualification i.e. NVQ4 or similar and be a member of an appropriate professional body.
- Experience of a similar role or environment with at least 10 years combined Supervisory & Managerial experience in the Quarrying Industry is essential.
- A Blasting & Shot firing Qualification / MPQC will also be essential for the role.
- An appropriate SHE Qualification i.e. NVQ - Nebosh will be advantageous.
