Company: Intervention Rentals WLL was formed in Doha, Qatar in 2010 to provide rentals services to the oilfield industry. A new industrial division of the company was established in 2012, to provide industrial coatings and fire protection services. The operational head office in Scotland, and there is also a base in Ghana, West Africa.
Due to expansion, we now require a Company Accountant to run all aspects of the finance
function in Qatar.This position is based in Doha, Qatar and reports functionally to the Finance Manager in the UK and operationally to the Base Manager in Doha. This is a very hands on role, with the successful applicant expected to undertake all aspects of the accounting function from basic processing work through to statutory reporting.
The Role
• Ensure that the accounts are maintained and prepared in accordance with local and international accounting requirements
• Implementation of financial systems and procedures. Monitor and review for compliance
and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with local tax legislation
• Prepare job costing reports for the Industrial services division
• Prepare financial and project forecasts and budgets
• Working capital management – Credit control, cash management, stock control
• Fixed asset control and reconciliations, journal entries, invoices, cash
• Collation of monthly payroll information and payment transfers
• Maintain and reconcile the Balance Sheet
• Responsible for accounting and reporting of associated companies
• Point of contract for external audit and any internal audit
• Oversee admin staff assisting with accounts processing work
Requirements
• A degree or similar level qualification in Accounting or Commerce
• 2 – 5 years experience in preparing management accounts
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential
• A knowledge of statutory accounting and tax legislation
• Good computer skills, particularly Sage and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and potential for growth
