Human Resources & Development Department Head , Bahrain

Job Title:Human Resources & Development Department Head
Job Location:  Bahrain
Company: Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Co. (ASRY) is the 
Arabian Gulfs most experienced ship and rig repair
yard. 
Requirements:
  • Management Degree with high level of Training and Development.
  • Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of management experience out of which more than three (3) years should include design, facilitation and  coordination of value-added training programmes including e-learning.

Function & Responsibilities:
Responsible for:
  1. the planning, developing and administering the Company’s training and development processes;
  2. Managing the individual career development programme;
  3. preparing the annual training budget, plan and reports;
  4. Designing training and development policies and procedures;
  5. Aligning strategically all training logistics to include identifying and securing training locations, course preparation, administration,evaluation and logistics.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Designs and delivers the training and development programmes.
  • Researches and selects subject matter experts or outside consultants to assist in the design and/or delivery process when necessary for training and development.
  • Selects and develops teaching aids such as e-leaming, web-based software, manuals, case study materials, multi-media visual aids, computer tutorials and reference manuals.
  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis exercise across the Departments / Divisions to identify core competencies and performance gaps.
  • Plans and coordinates the training and development calendar.
  • Contracts with vendors to coordinate employee participation in outside training and development programmes.
  • Monitors and reports success of programs and manages the adjustment of any programmes to improve effectiveness.
  • Maintains accurate records to comply with quality standards.
  • Develops metrics to assess effectiveness of training programmes and ROl.
  • Participates in initiatives and interventions led by the Management.

 Skills:
Candidate should possess the following:
  1. Interpersonal relationship skills with diverse group of people within and outside the Company.
  2. High degree level of organization and administration.
  3. Commitment to excellence and consistency of performance.
  4. Excellent Communication, MS Office and IT skills.
  5. A general HR background will be useful but not essential.
