Requirements:
- Engineer with Marine experience to oversee the projects department and manage execution works.
- Candidates should have a demonstrated history of successful project execution and an ability to manage a team of engineers.
- Plans, directs and coordinates all the projects of the company from Project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring and project completion.
- Ensure that projects meet safety standards and regularly check on the progress and quality of the work. Ensuring adequate teaming of project resources in compliance with required standards and client requirements
- Follow up submittal approval of drawings & material with client and consultant
- Apply for permits and licenses when necessary, and also read and review blueprints.
- Conducts final negotiations and approves agreement between company and contractors/sub-contractor Organizing, planning and managing resources to complete a project on time and under budget.
- Responding quickly to the changing needs of the client, Ability to adapt to abrupt changes requires forethought, preparation and, in many cases, a good rapport with the client.
- Maintain a close working relationship with subordinates while providing guidance and motivation Monitor HSE/QA statistics and assist QA Officer in producing annual QHSE targets and objectives Participate in management review meetings.
- Produce action plans as a result Assist Sales team technically in identifying new business and develop existing business Assist Contracts & Estimation Manager in the preparation of bids and contractual documentation To monitor existing client and supplier contracts as regards escalation and contract review Advise Director in the development and design of new or acquired marine assets Ensure continual review and development of operating procedures Ensures that project expenses are well within the contract price and monitors the income and expenditure of the company for budget compliance and cost control. Develops, modifies, implements and ensures the operation of systems, policies and procedures within the organization for smooth operations.
- Maintains relationship with old and existing clients / consultants / contractors / sub-contractors with regular follow up meetings.
- Recruitment of qualified, skilled and experienced personnel.
- Monitors employee productivity and performance in a periodical manner and ensures the provision of professional and personal growth opportunities.
- Provides motivation, leadership initiative, and guidance to the employees and ensures the maintenance of high morale within the company.
- Assesses and evaluates market conditions, trends, associated risks and sets out suitable solutions to overcome downturns, crises and abnormalities.
- Continuously identifies and develops opportunities for the company to expand its products, services, functions and area of operation.
